Full Spectrum vs CBD Isolate

Full Spectrum vs CBD Isolate: Which one is Better? | Shop Hempoid CBD

When it comes to CBD there are a range of oils and these can be classified by how they are produced and the cannabinoids present. The three types you may have heard of are Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum and CBD Isolate. Hempoid offers both a Full Spectrum range and a CBD Isolate range.

Full Spectrum CBD contains other cannabinoids besides CBD. They still contain high levels of CBD and low levels of THC, which must be below 0.2% to meet legal requirements in the UK. Full Spectrum CBD oils also contain flavonoids and terpenes which gives it a naturally strong taste and smell. Other cannabinoids like CBDA and CBN are also present. Their content is significantly lower than the CBD content, but they play a crucial role in achieving the ‘entourage effect’ by working in synergy for optimum effects. It is important to note these other cannabinoids are not harmful to consume, and the THC content is so low that there are no psychoactive effects.

CBD Isolate is the purest form of CBD available, usually containing 99.9% CBD content and 0% THC content. It’s often referred to as CBD crystals because it comes in a solid, diamond like form. It is made using the same processes as Full Spectrum CBD, undergoing supercritical CO2 extraction, but ensures all other cannabinoids are also extracted. As CBD Isolate comes in such a pure form, free from flavonoids and other cannabinoids, it is generally known to be flavourless and odourless. Our CBD Isolate range is therefore available in lemon or mint flavours to give you some variety!

Full Spectrum CBD is best for:

  • Those who prefer a more natural smell and taste.
  • People who want to get the most out of their CBD experience.
  • Those looking to utilise the ‘entourage effect’ and target a specific need.

CBD Isolate is best for:

  • Those who prefer some flavour when relaxing with CBD.
  • People who are sensitive to THC and other cannabinoids.
  • Those who wish to add it to their food or use for cooking.
  • Those who are subject drug tests and are worried about trace amounts of THC appearing.

Ultimately, we firmly believe no CBD type is better than another. We’ve given you a range of both Full Spectrum and CBD Isolate products so that everyone’s needs are met, and you have the option to try both. It all comes down to your personal preference and what works for you.
